The college looks after every student to the utmost of their ability irrespective of their cultural or social background. It places a huge emphasis on academic achievement and intellectual growth while at the same time encouraging sporting, cultural & community involvement.

Warrane has been a fantastic place to stay and study whilst at UNSW. It provides a whole range of opportunities to residents. I couldn’t have asked for a better place to have stayed and the college really developed me into someone who can be confident to go out into the workplace and be successful.

My advice to current residents: Make the most of your time in College. College doesn’t force you to do anything but it does offer numerous opportunities for its residents to develop themselves further and broaden their horizons – like the diploma of education, the annual workcamp and the formal dinner talks.

I believe that College was an incredible living experience because of all the types of people you get to meet. Every year I would meet people from different cultures and with different views. Warrane really is a melting pot of knowledge. But the best thing about the guys at college was that they were compassionate and willing to help anyone out when possible. The college environment is very conducive to personal development.

For an international student, Warrane has been the best place to stay. The college is fully catered and literally situated on campus. More importantly, at Warrane, you could make great friends from every part of the world and listen to their interesting stories and always learn from them. It is NEVER a boring place to stay because there are many college activities throughout the whole semester. Warrane is definitely the place to be.

Warrane has been fantastic. It was a great decision to come to the College. It provides a pretty outstanding environment to succeed at your studies and it has been very flexible in accommodating my sporting needs. I have also found it to be a place that really helps you to grow as a person and to make friends.

Parent Testimonials

Warrane College has turned out to be a ‘home away from home’ for our 2 sons, Matthew and Ryan.

When Matthew started at Warrane in 2009 he fitted into College life from day 1. When Ryan arrived 2 years later he was accepted as ‘brother and friend’ by residents and staff alike.

The social structure of the College has provided educational support for their studies, encouraged participation in a variety of team sports, and provided opportunities to become involved in community service – allowing them to grow in confidence, both spiritually and emotionally.

In short, as a direct result of their time at Warrane College both boys have emerged with a quality education, friends that will last a lifetime, and what is perhaps more important they now leave as well rounded young men.

Our sincere thanks to the Master, Dean and dedicated staff of Warrane College.
